Motorsport – The need to shoot fast cars.

Although weddings are my “Bread and butter” my love is Motorsport, primarily Formula 1, but I’ll pretty much watch anything with an engine and 4 wheels. My absolute love, would be to do more Motorsport photography and as I’m in a stage where I am building my portfolio in this sector, I don’t even want to get paid, free, nada.

The main problem I have is this (and It’s quite a perplexing state);

To get track side, you need to be commissioned by a publication or sports website, some circuits allow you to be hired by the teams directly but, to get commissioned, you need a decent portfolio and to get a decent portfolio you need… that’s right… to GET TRACK SIDE! The cliché of “Vicious circle” applies very much so in this scenario.

But in the mean time, If you are a publication outlet or know of a racing team that are in need some photos of their cars in action, please feel free to drop me an email. The entity/team, can have any photo’s I take, with the copyright, for free, I don’t want to sell them (and will sign a disclaimer if needed) The only thing I ask is that I can use them to showcase my portfolio.
