I generally don’t like formal photography, you know the sort…
Bride and Groom with Grooms parents… Bride and Groom with Brides parents etc…
That’s not to say I don’t do those shots, I just don’t do those shots through out the entire session.
When I do a wedding, around 20% of my time is used to get those “must have” shots.
The other 80% is taken up by me disappearing… I don’t mean away from the wedding…
I mean I try to blend into the background and take more natural looking shots of people enjoying the day.
Because, although I am a photographer myself and know what is needed when put on the opposite side of a camera, I still end up looking like an idiot on photo’s taken of me, because smiling on demand isn’t as easy you think it should 
)
That’s why I personally think the best shots, are the one’s which no one knows has been taken!
On a personal note, I’m a laid back guy and the key word when I do a wedding is “fun!”.
A wedding day is to be enjoyed and I try bring that out in my work.
I generally serve weddings in the Derby and Derbyshire area, but nothing really stops me
from travelling further if requested.
